skiffytown League of Heroes

Well if we are shifting our major focus from CopperCon to LairCon then we definitely need a
few things. The first would be a definite "Yes" or "No" as to whether we are doing this. Also, we
need to know if the dates are not changing ( July 11-13 was what I saw last time ). The shift in
dates is also important because it gives some of us a shorter period of time to save funds. I have
what I feel is enough for a plane ticket and sharing hotel expenses plus food and stuff but maybe
we need to start a list of people that feel they can make LairCon plus maybes or those who feel they
are unable to do so much in the way we did for the CopperCon thread. I guess what I am trying to
say is if we are going to devote significant time and planning to this let's make sure we have
enough people coming, especially Senior Staff members. I'd like to attend another gathering this
year of some sort in order to hang with my Skiffytown friends and do some good work.

We aren't all afraid of funeral parlors. Does the fact that the guy upstairs was kicked out mean we can stay at The Lair this time?

Laircon is a definite go, details are being worked out and agendas worked on by myself and others

We will need a list of attendees as soon as possible so copies can be emailed, gone over and notes made prior to the weekend in order to make the most of our time together

we will be conducting not only comic company but League business as well during the weekend.



If you are planning to attend get ideas together for stories, series, characters and such, we will be doing a great deal of brainstorming and it is my desire to have several books locked down, plotted and creative teams set by Sunday departure time. This weekend is being planned as an organizational and brainstorming workshop. Due to our limited time schedule and laundry list of items we plan on discussing, we need to make sure we are prepared ahead of time and that we stick to our planned agenda. At this time, the plans are coming together for hotel accommodations and a workable meeting room at the hotel. There is a slim chance we’ll actually make it over to the lair, no construction work planned and or any community outreach in the works. This is not going to be your typical Skiffytown round up.

I believe so...the fireplace works as well...there's two ceiling fans, plus a A/C unit to go in the kitchen window...we're going to try and mount the projector ontp the ceiling and point it at the blank wall (until we get a screen, that is). All the appliances work, just need a little TLC...

I know some of the other Florida crew were planning on heading up....I have friends already going and it's only 4 hours away....

TD will be there.....


We won't do a huge Skiffy showing but maybe some of us can make it up and chill together for a day or so...


Don't you have a relative in the area?

Well my sister lives in Alpharetta, GA or parts nearby. I know KnightVigil mentioned
that he might be making DRagonCon and several others did os as well. I might do that.
It just sucks that with the whole comic book planning and idea trading that I may not
be there, especially since some of the Skiffy heroes that I have not yet met will be
there. I am still holding out hope for LairCon 2 but admittedly it does not look good
right now. Some friends of mine also invited me to GenCon but they are hard core D&D
players and if I went to that it would be to play lots of D&D & not in costume because of all
the books I carry to play ( which is alot ). I have several options open for me - it's just a
matter of which one can I get that is closest to what I really want.

Sidenote: Possible F.L.A.S.H patch design done and VERY close to unveiling.
