My buddy Porthos, whom some of you may have seen in my photos, has been in the hospital for a week and a half. He's having some "going" problems and needed surgery to correct them.

I'm hoping that someday he will come home. Today is his fourth birthday. Not a banner birthday for Porthos.

Thanks! I just called the vet and Porthos should be able to come home today. He's still seeping a bit from his stitches, but the vet said that if I don't care about the stains I can take him home.

So I'm going to pick him up this afternoon. Poor guy.

For a super dog he's had a lot of health problems. Hopefully this will be the end of it.

well, super dog will not be coming home today after all. he got so excited when we came in that he almost busted his stitches. The vet thought it would be better to leave him in hospital for a few more days until his stitches come out.

*sigh*

so it will be no sooner than saturday, but most likely next week sometime, before Porthos will be coming home.

Oh, and speaking of dogs... Stormbringer, I want to thank you for mentioning that your friend Dogg was a member of Pirates for Sail back when I was working at the Feargrounds. I was unfortunately never able to meet him there (I still have not due to several factors), but I am now a member of the crew as well so I should be meeting him eventually. ^_^ His wife has a beautiful voice.

actually, you should get to meet him on July 4. They are both signed up to attend.

He's home!!! we brought him back last night. He's a miserable super dog right now, but he'll be better soon. He goes back to have his stitches taken out next week.

Meanwhile, he looks like a Batman villain. Poor guy.

He's doing really well. he finished up his prescription today and he goes back to have his stitches taken out monday. Thenhe won't have to wear that silly e-collar anymore. Then I'm sure he'll be very happy indeed.
