It's a gathering in the RLSH community.

had to miss it this year, last year it was in NYC...missed that too.

Hope everyone is doing well down there.

Since it seems to be moving west, might next year's event be close to Los Angeles? I'm just hoping and hinting in case anyone reading this has SA's ear . . .

Here's a questions.

It's an RLSH event. I might be remembering it wrong but wasn't there some sort of invitation only and you had to be a recognized RLSH to attend last year?

Fat Momma, Feedback, and Major Victory were supposed to be a part of this and the hand of friendship was exrended to WWTBASHers and cosplayers by the Black Ghost and Life who co-hosted the event. They even rented a bus to travel from new york to New Orleans pickingup any heroes who needed a ride. I was unable to go due to my work schedule, but Life contacted me several times about attending. As a gesture of solidarity, I actually appeared in costume in Pine Bluff at the same time as the Superhero Parade and sent a video greeting for themto use int their seminar.

The event was moved from New YOrk to New Orleans when it combined with the Black Ghosts event which was officially recognized by Mayor Ray Nagan. Monday was declared SUPERHERO DAY by the mayor and included a parade and street patrols with the superheroes and the guardian angels. On Saturday the heroes helped Habitat for Humanity build houses and Suday they had seminars on what it means to be a RLSH and other subjects.

Approximately 175 real life superheroes were RSVPed to attend. I haven't heard the final number, but I've heard nothing but good reports from the event.

It is not exclusively a RLSH event. In fact there were stormtroopers and boba fetts there as well as a few vampires. Only like 2 or 3 RLSHers came because of a certain person's ability to spread gossup and mistrust. The second one like 7 or 8 came, and they were all east coast guys. I heard there is rumor that there is going to be one next year in the West. It depends on funding I think because this last one was pretty spending for the organizers.
But no, it's not exclusively. Anyone not part of organizing telling you different is pretty much smoking crack. And I don't see why they would say that. From what I've been reading, the WWTBASH gang is a heck of a lot more active then the Myspace ninjas on the RLSH side.
