skiffytown League of Heroes

Yeah, this is the official League site. The Sci-fi forum is cool but it's always good to have your
own place as a backup, especially with the Glitch still causing problems is the Sci-fi forum to
people. I know of at least 2 people ( Purrkayla and Maritimus ) that have been permanently
taken out of access to the Sci-fi forum. This is also the site where alot of official announements
will take place for LEague activities and/or charity events.

Yeah, so this is my introductory post. I figured it fit well in the 'Welcome' thread.

I'm Pyroclastica, friend of Inu's from back in the day. I'll probably lurk for a while before bombarding you all with nonsensical posts and random ideas and the like. You've been warned.

I'm originally from the midwest (Michigan, with some time in Illinois and Ohio) and I guess that's where my heart lies, considering the fact that I've strengthened the accent since I've moved to California.

Anyway, I'm kind of new to all this, but I'm insanely curious and intrigued and hope I can be of service.

Well seems as though your superhero has a fiery way of expressing herself and given my
own affinity for fire and heat I cannto complain too much about that. Plus if you are a friend
of Inu's then that is one in your favor.

By all means post here tell us more about yourself. We have ocassional gatherings amongst our
peeps and maybe someday you will be able to make one. If you have any questions then feel free
ask and we will try to answer them as best we can.

Haha, fire is definitely good, especially in its incandescent, viscous form of lava, IMHO My absolutely obsessive interest in Volcanoes has certainly helped in creating this persona, but ... as with a lot of my fiction and RP characters ... she has the tendency of taking ove and running off with posts and whatnot. :-/

Costume is in early development stages. I.E.; sketches right now. I'm no seamstress, although I can knit up a storm, but I am *not* knitting a superhero costume. I'm too lazy for that. Most of her costume is based on an outfit I wore in a dream I had a few months back that I luckily sketched as soon as I woke up. i just need to find a willing seamstress (what is the male form of seamstress, anyway? seamster?).

I'm not too good at talking about myself unless I have a specific form, or am asked specific questions. So, have at me! I'm pretty much an open book, as Inu could probably tell you. Don't ask if you really don't want to heart the answer!

Volcanoes huh? That's interesting considering that my superhero persona Dragonheart in addition
to controlling and expelling fire and heat energy actually absorbs this energy from sources other
than his own creation to bolster himself and increase his physical powers & healing/recuperative
abilities. One of the things I have him do in my fiction is meditate in a secret chamber within the
Sanctorum Arcana, a castle and haven for magical beings fighting for good. The name of the
chamber is the Lava Pit because it is a localized aperture to the Elemental Plane of Fire. He
basically sits up to his neck inside molten lava and meditates as his body supercharges itself up to
the point that he is glowing white hot. I think we would get along well I would say.

There is a Skiffytown Wikipedia of sorts for the heroes who auditioned and others who are
members of Skiffytown. I do not have the link offhand but ask Inu and she might be able to
provide it. Also, if you want a guy who can make your superhero outfit very well and not too
expensive, the best source I know of is a guy called Jack at www.hero-gear.net. He designed
several of the outfits worn by a few of the Skiffytown heroes.
