Megacon is very excited about us coming this year. . .we are officially on the floor plan for the main hall. . .they are going above and beyond for us. . .before you read what is going on. . .keep some things in mind. . .planning and supporting an event like this is not easy. . .not everyone will be commiting to every event. . .it is a con. . .and there are other things going on. . .films. . .gaming. . .vendors. . .our part is just that. . .a part of the whole. . .if you cannot help out everywhere. . .that's fine. . .if you can. . .that's fine too. . .people who are not attending can and will be needed. . .some of you have already stepped up and asked to help. . .thank you. . .now when you read below. . .you can re-evaluate your offer. . .some points to remember about how this year is set up for us. . .

last year. . .one. . .it was recommended that we have a place on the vendors floor. . .megacon loved the idea. . .we are now a large main attraction. . .two. . .most of the events are at our own timing. . .because not everyone will be able to go or assist. . .i have arranged it so we can make up our own schedule. . .if we have alot of people. . .we can do things more often. . .if we have fewer people. . .we can do less to a certain point. . .so that whatever time you can afford this effort. . .it can be used. . .three. . .don't allow anyones participation or non participation to ruin your fun. . .we are a team. . .regardless of anything else. . .i would like to make another offer to others to help us out. . .we have gained alot of milage with other groups because we have offered our hand. . .so if you have anyone you would like to ask their help. . .please let me know. . .

Kids Events

Skiffytown League of Heroes will be setting up their Headquarters on the main showroom floor. Please check the floor plan for the location. Come down and join them for the following events.

Imagine a Costume for Kids - Did you ever want to be a superhero? Come join Skiffytown League of Heroes and make a costume out of the scrapes and treasures provided? We’ll help you create your very own hero with anything we have and loads of imagination. You will walk away with something from your very own imagination; join the ranks of superheroes by creating your own. There will also be an area for face painting. Parents, its good clean fun, and besides, the world needs more superheroes. This event will take place all three days on the showroom floor – Check the showroom floor for exact hours.

Kids Costume Contest - Skiffytown League of Heroes will be hosting a kids costume contest, if you have a homemade costume, please come by and sign up, join in the merriment and just have fun. Sign up will be on the showroom floor

Skiffy Story Time - Skiffytown will host a kids and kids at heart story time with the heroes, come and take a break from the craziness and sit down for a few minutes and enjoy old time stories about heroes, villains, and storylines. We will have the time posted, so come on by. Story times will be posted on the showroom floor in the Skiffytown League of Heroes station.

Skiffy Safety - Every good superhero and super kid needs to know about safety and how to be safe. Learn from the Skiffytown League of Superheroes about the rules of the road. Ask questions, as the saying goes, the more you know. So please drop on by to see what time it will be at. Skiffy Safety times will be posted on the showroom floor in the Skiffytown League of Heroes station.

Okay. . .for the above events. . .did you notice. . .there are no times. . .we can only do what we can. . .it will depend on who is willing to help out. . .i know we can't be there every minute of every day. . .but we have the ability to make our own time schedule. . .this should help us work around everyones play time. . .and if we invite others to help. . .it could be that much easier. . .

Skiffytown League of Heroes Presents an Old Time Radio Story - Join Skiffytown as they battle villains, use your imagination and join in the fight against the forces of evil. Old time radio was the high def of yesteryear, you’ll be surprised at the fun you can have.

Costuming on a Budget. - Join Skiffytown and Friends as they talk about costuming on a budget and the ingenious ways others have come up with totally awesome costumes and uniforms. It doesn’t take a lot of money to come up with cool stuff.

Perhaps we could have cards made up to hand out so if a lost child is found, we can be contacted to collect the child and bring them to the Skiffy Safe Child Zone.

we may want to get a way to get ahold of many skiffies at once? since we sometimes get spread out at cons... weather it be mass txt message or whatever... just a thought

This is going to be our best year yet guys. I can feel it. I can defenaitly see so many of these panels hitting off fantastically. And the Lost Kids Zone is a fantastic idea. *fist pump*
